Gry’s Shopping Guide

Aktiviteter - Shopping 1Shopping in Antibes

Grand Casino supermarket is located 3-400m from the house (exit gate and head to your right).

Carrefour is by the A8 highway at the Antibes exit. With its 79 cashiers and a cheese department the size as an average supermarket, the selection is incredible -although always crowded. If you have a car, you could stock up with food at the beginning of your holiday here. Not far from Carrefour, you find the a mega-sized sports store, Decathlon, with lots of good bargains.

Otherwise, there are a number of elegant clothes shops in the centre of Juan les Pins, and cool watches and sunglasses you will find guaranteed.

My Juan favorite: Tarzan et Jane, 4 Avenue de God de Maupassant. Cool denim and tops!

Shopping in Cannes

Cannes is great – use Rue d’Antibes as a starting point to find cheap delights as: Zara, Mango, La City, Etam, Tara Jarmond etc. Designer shops are mostly located on the la Croisette.

Zara Cannes, this is a good one where you get everything at a cheap price. Especially for children I like Zara. Cheaper than H & M.

Pinkie Cannes is located in rue d’Antibes just after Zara. Very cheap. Have tough tops and cute dresses for the beach. Not the best quality, but does that matter as long as the 10 euro top impresses the summer crowd.

Aktiviteter shopping 2Du Pareil au Même: rue du Maréchal Foch, a small side street to rue d’Antibes. Worth a visit for all parents with children between 0-12 years. Very cheap and nice shoes. Buy cheap boots and slippers for my kids there every year for 10 euro. Have lots of fine clothing for children. Cheaper than H & M and with better quality. Happy colors!

Alana Brooklyn: 13 rue André CDT. Cool boutique with brands like D & G, Gucci, etc. (have to pay though)! Nice lady with good taste working there.

Mango, rue D’Antibes 84. Is located towards the end of rue d’Antibes. Cheap prices

Morgan Cannes is a little further up the rue D’Antibes (before Zara). Small Morgan shop, but has a little more “decent” clothes than others I’ve been to. Is at least 3-4 Morgan’s in the area Antibes-Cannes, with different clothes in each shop. More for those below 30 (in my opinion).

Fabri and Jaime Mascaro, are a couple of cool shoe shops you can find in and near rue d’Antibes.

Shopping in Nice

Eric Zemmour, my hairdresser in rue de Suede is worth a visit. Let him take control and you will have a “great day and perhaps a new you”!

Galeries Lafayette, 6, avenue Jean Médecin. Superb gallery with everything from clothing, food, shoes, cosmetics and wine.

Galeries Nice Etoile, a bit further up in Jean Médecin you will find a giant Adidas shop in 2 floors. There’s also an Habitat for those who love interior (30-40% cheaper than you can find at the Room store in Oslo).

The market in the Cours Saleya. Fruits, vegetables and flowers. Buzzing with life and absolutely worth a visit. Antique market every Monday.
